About the Role

As a Procurement Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the Procurement Specialist in daily procurement activities. This internship will provide you with an opportunity to develop your skills and gain practical insights into the procurement processes within CCBSA’s Finance Department.


Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Query Resolution: Addressing procurement-related queries.
  • Procurement Administration: Supporting RFQ, RFP, and RFI processes.
  • Vendor Sourcing: Identifying and sourcing preferred vendors.
  • Bid Management: Issuing bids, expediting, verifying bid documents, and conducting responsive checks.
  • Contracts Administration: Drafting Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and managing contract lifecycles.
  • Database Management: Updating the Transporter Database with approved vendors and rates.
  • Collaboration: Partnering with distribution, export, import, and planning teams.
  • Documentation Management: Summarizing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) engagement notes.
  • Freight Requests: Logging air and sea freight requests.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify, you’ll need:

Required:

  • A relevant Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Procurement, or a related field.

Preferred:

  • Previous work experience in procurement or supply chain.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
  • South African citizenship is a must.
