Job Description
As an Admission Clerk at Life Knysna Private Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in managing the admission processes and ensuring an efficient and welcoming experience for all patients. Your responsibilities include:
- Accurate Administration:
- Ensuring accurate and efficient administration of the admission process as per Life Healthcare’s policies.
- Collecting comprehensive demographic data with attention to detail.
- Financial Risk Management:
- Managing the financial risk of the hospital by obtaining approval numbers within the required turnaround time.
- Collecting co-payments, private estimates, and deposits upfront following Life Healthcare protocols.
- Compiling private estimates and managing financial risks around this function.
- Customer Relations:
- Developing sound relationships with internal and external customers, including patients, funders, doctors, and private patients.
- Ensuring effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Billing and Administrative Duties:
- Closing of billing checks within unit targets.
- Front desk concierge duties, including managing the switchboard and porter duties as needed.
- Preparing patient folders for Scanco, adhering to POPIA knowledge requirements.
- Work Hours and Flexibility:
- Ability to work day, night, and weekend shifts as per the flexi-hours system.
