Introduction

These roles are instrumental in supporting the administration and operational efficiency of the national Housing Needs Register, housing subsidy applications, and title deeds processing. The successful candidates will form part of a dynamic municipal team responsible for serving housing beneficiaries and ensuring data accuracy, procedural compliance, and administrative excellence.
Job Description
As an Administrative Officer in this division, you will play a key role in supporting the municipality’s housing initiatives. You’ll be responsible for managing data, handling queries, and providing general administrative and logistical support related to housing subsidy applications, title deeds, and beneficiary engagement. This position is ideal for individuals with strong organisational skills, a service-driven mindset, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced public service environment.
Primary Functions
- Handle housing-related enquiries and complaints both telephonically and in person
- Maintain an efficient and accurate filing system for housing documentation
- Capture data and type correspondence for internal and external communication
- Compile and distribute minutes of meetings as requested
- Collect and collate statistics and other housing data for internal use and reporting
- Liaise with housing beneficiaries regarding title deed collection and related queries
- Open and maintain housing files for new and existing applicants
- Interface with Group Financial Services for billing and deposit transactions
- Carry out additional administrative tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors

- A Grade 12 certificate is the minimum qualification required
- At least six months’ experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a housing, subsidies, or title deeds environment
- Strong computer literacy is essential (Microsoft Word, Excel, and data systems)
- Willingness to undergo a criminal record check, with fingerprints taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at the applicant’s own cost
