Job About
The Traffic Trainee Learnership Programme is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity that provides participants with a Certificate in Road Traffic and Law Enforcement (NQF Level 4). Training will be conducted by the Mangaung Traffic Training Academy. The programme is part of the municipality’s strategy to empower youth while addressing unemployment and enhancing road safety in South Africa.

Experience: No prior work experience required, but applicants must meet minimum entry requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must have completed Grade 12 / Matric
  • Must hold a valid driver’s licence
  • Must provide SAPS Clearance results confirming no criminal record
  • Must submit proof of medical fitness

  • Enforce road traffic laws and regulations in accordance with national and local legislation
  • Manage traffic flow and road safety operations to ensure community well-being
  • Assist in reducing road accidents through compliance enforcement and visibility on the roads
  • Deliver professional and courteous service to members of the public
  • Gain practical exposure and structured training under experienced officers
