This 12-month programme combines structured classroom learning with hands-on workplace training, equipping participants with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue careers in logistics, freight handling, and transport.
What is the Triton Express Freight Handling Learnership?
The National Certificate: Freight Handling Learnership is designed to give learners both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in logistics. Participants will gain competencies in handling freight, managing warehouse processes, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the transport sector.
By the end of the programme, learners will be equipped with industry-relevant skills, mentorship, and a nationally recognised qualification.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be South African citizens
- Hold a Grade 12, TVET N3, or NQF Level 2 qualification (minimum 40% in Maths and English)
- Be between 23 and 35 years old
- Be medically fit for physical work
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Numerically orientated with strong attention to detail
- Willingness to work weekends and shifts
- Have a clear criminal record
- Reside in Germiston, Alberton, Boksburg, or Johannesburg
- Be available to work between 08:00 – 18:00

Role Responsibilities

- Loading and off-loading goods from vehicles
- Preparing vehicles for scheduled trips
- Receiving, dispatching, and processing freight documentation
- Performing warehouse and transport-related tasks
- Delivering and collecting stock and goods
- General housekeeping and safety maintenance
- Picking, packing, and verifying stock for delivery
- Stacking and securing goods for safe transport
- Participation in theoretical training aligned with unit standards
- Preparing for external verification assessments with mentorship
