Job Description
As an intern, you’ll work directly with experienced Vendor Managers and cross-functional teams to support some of Amazon’s most strategic retail brands. Your role will be multifaceted, combining market analytics, project execution, client interaction, and business optimisation.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborating with Vendor Managers to provide a range of services that boost vendor performance and drive sales
- Contributing to the design and roll-out of strategic retail and procurement programmes
- Performing data deep-dives to analyse trends, uncover opportunities, and guide internal decision-making
- Supporting product visibility efforts across Amazon’s digital platforms
- Activating marketing strategies to improve customer conversion and brand retention
- Tracking business performance indicators to suggest and implement operational improvements
Ideal Candidate
This internship is designed for recent graduates or early-career individuals with strong analytical capabilities and a passion for e-commerce and project execution. Amazon seeks individuals who are driven, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about innovation.
You should be:
- A recent graduate or someone who has completed a Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months
- Available to start full-time in September 2025 and commit to a 6-month duration
- Based in or able to relocate to Cape Town for the internship period
- Fluent in spoken and written English (C1 level or above)
- Curious, proactive, and results-oriented
- Passionate about technology, customer experience, and continuous improvement
Role Responsibility
You’ll be responsible for:
- Gathering and interpreting data to assess business trends
- Identifying underperforming areas and proposing innovative solutions
- Supporting new project initiatives, especially those aimed at digitizing vendor operations
- Engaging with vendors to enhance their experience and impact within the Amazon marketplace
- Preparing and presenting reports, insights, and recommendations to internal stakeholders
- Participating in Amazon’s structured intern learning modules, including writing workshops, mentorship circles, and leadership principle sessions
