Job Description:
The NDoH Internship Programme offers placements in various administrative and operational functions within the department. Selected interns will work closely with experienced professionals in government, receiving mentorship, training, and on-the-job learning. Interns will be deployed in different offices depending on the stream and reference number they apply for.

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in one of the following:
- Public Management

- Provide general administrative support
- Assist with functions in supply chain, personnel, and financial administration

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this internship is a recent graduate who has not yet participated in any other internship or learnership programme. This opportunity is specifically designed for unemployed youth who are eager to gain relevant public sector experience.
Candidates must:
- Be South African citizens between 18 and 35 years of age
- Have completed the relevant National Diploma at NQF Level 6
- Be available for a full-time, 24-month commitment
- Have a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Be detail-oriented and committed to ethical work standards
Role Responsibility:
Interns will be responsible for supporting their assigned departments in day-to-day operations, including administrative coordination, communication handling, document control, and contributing to ongoing public health programmes. Interns are expected to:
- Attend induction and mentorship sessions
- Deliver tasks with professionalism and integrity
- Collaborate with government teams on national health priorities
- Provide accurate and timely support to their respective directorates
