Job Description:
Successful applicants will undergo intensive academic and clinical training over three years. This training leads to a Diploma in Nursing (NQF Level 6), accredited by SANC under Regulation R171 (SAQA ID No. 115826).
The programme integrates theoretical modules and hands-on practical experience across various public hospitals and clinics throughout KwaZulu-Natal.

Participants will be exposed to:

  • Academic coursework in General Nursing, Community Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, and Midwifery
  • Clinical practice under the supervision of registered professionals

Role Responsibility:

  • Participating in scheduled clinical rotations and hospital shifts
  • Supporting patient care, hygiene, and documentation
  • Administering basic treatments under supervision

Post-2008 Matriculation (National Senior Certificate):

  • Diploma Pass or Higher
  • Minimum of 25 points (APS) from 6 subjects
  • English: Level 4
  • Home/First Additional Language: Level 3
  • Mathematics: Level 3 or Math Literacy: Level 5
  • Life Sciences/Physical Science: Level 4
  • Life Orientation is compulsory but not scored

  • Certified copy of Matric Certificate
  • Certified copy of Identity Document
  • Proof of Residence or Affidavit confirming residency in KwaZulu-Natal
  • All other highest qualifications obtained
  • Signed affidavit from Commissioner of Oaths confirming unemployment and no prior Department of Health bursary benefit
