The Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ) TVET Learnership Programme 2025/2026 is a government initiative offering unemployed TVET graduates the chance to gain 18 months of structured workplace training across various provinces in South Africa.

Who is the Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ)?

The OCJ supports South Africa’s judiciary by ensuring that the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court of Appeal, High Courts, and other judicial structures operate efficiently. Beyond its mandate, the OCJ invests in youth development by providing opportunities such as internships and learnerships to improve employability and strengthen public sector capacity.

What is the OCJ TVET Learnership Programme 2025/2026

This 18-month Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programme, as published in Circular 32 of 2025, is designed specifically for graduates from public TVET colleges. It provides practical exposure to administrative and operational work in government offices.

Learners will receive:

  • Workplace-based training in administration, HR, finance, and management
  • Monthly stipend of R4,950
  • Hands-on mentorship from experienced public service professionals

Are you Eligible? Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold an N6 Certificate from a public TVET college
  • Be unemployed at the time of application
  • Have never participated in an internship programme before
  • Be a South African citizen
  • Candidates with disabilities and those from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply
