Purpose of the Job

The Cleaner role is vital to ensuring that SAPS Head Office premises remain hygienic, safe, and welcoming for employees and visitors. By maintaining cleanliness, the position supports the operational efficiency and credibility of SAPS.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect offices, bathrooms, and kitchens.
Maintain cleanliness of corridors, entrances, and common areas.
Ensure bathrooms are stocked with soap, toilet paper, and essentials.
Wash, clean, and store kitchen utensils and appliances.
Sweep, mop, dust, and polish floors, furniture, and surfaces.
Empty bins, dispose of waste responsibly, and safeguard cleaning materials.
Operate cleaning machines and equipment safely.
Assist supervisors with ad-hoc cleaning duties.

Minimum Requirements / Eligibility

Grade 10 qualification (Grade 12 will be an advantage).
Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
Physically fit to perform cleaning duties.
Ability to use cleaning equipment and materials safely.
Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays when required.
