Job Description
The Administrative Officer plays a key role in ensuring the effective execution of day-to-day admin tasks that support internal operations and customer service. This includes handling the switchboard, order processing, document control, and supporting HR-related admin functions.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Manage and operate the switchboard and front-office reception
  • Assist with taking and processing orders on Milas
  • Generate quotes for cash customers
  • Handle invoice control and document management
  • Order and manage stationery and office supplies
  • Monitor and check daily production reports on Milas
  • Process daily stock transfers between branches
  • Capture and file leave requests
  • Perform general clerical administration tasks

Requirements

Minimum Education/Training:

  • Grade 12 (Matric certificate)

Minimum Work Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience in administration

Technical Knowledge/Competencies:

  • Solid understanding of administrative principles
  • Computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Milas or similar systems is an advantage

Role Responsibility
As part of the admin support structure, the Administrative Officer is responsible for ensuring seamless internal coordination and timely task execution. You will be expected to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders while maintaining operational efficiency.

You will:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the branch via the switchboard
  • Ensure all clerical and stock-related documents are up to date and correctly filed
  • Collaborate with the sales and stock teams to ensure accurate transaction processing
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and comply with all office protocols
