Job Description
The Air Products Engineering GDP is a 24-month structured rotational programme hosted at the company’s Vanderbijlpark facilities. It offers hands-on learning through:
- Real-life engineering projects across departments
- Exposure to plant operations and maintenance

- Structured training to build leadership, technical, and project management skills
- Cross-functional rotations to develop a holistic view of the gas and manufacturing sector

Role Responsibility
As a Graduate Trainee, your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in structured learning experiences within engineering teams
- Supporting various technical projects under the guidance of senior engineers
- Completing rotational assignments across operations, project design, maintenance, and safety
- Conducting research and presenting solutions to engineering challenges
- Collaborating on cross-functional initiatives
- Demonstrating problem-solving capabilities and contributing to continuous improvement efforts
- Participating in assessments and development reviews

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the Engineering Graduate Development Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African Citizenship
- Possess a valid South African driver’s license
- Hold a completed BSc, BEng or BTech Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Maintain a minimum academic aggregate of 50%
- Must not be currently enrolled in another graduate programme or learnership
- Willingness to relocate to Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng
- Must have strong computer literacy and technical report writing ability
- Passion for the gas or manufacturing industry is advantageous
- Ability to commit to the full 24-month programme
