Job Description
The Crew role at G4S primarily involves the safe collection, transport, and delivery of valuable consignments to and from clients. The role requires strict adherence to security procedures, operational compliance, and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and Dispatch
- Ensure all required equipment is collected and checked before departure.
- Properly load and secure consignments for transportation.
- Secure Transportation of Valuables
- Follow designated security protocols while handling high-value assets.
- Use correct security devices and procedures to maintain safety at all times.
- Ensure proper completion of paperwork and consignment scanning.
- Delivery of Consignments to Clients
- Follow proper security procedures while handing over valuables to clients.
- Maintain accuracy in documentation and ensure timely completion of deliveries.
- Verify all transactions and report discrepancies immediately.
- Return of Consignments to Base
- Safely transport returned consignments back to the boxroom at the branch.
- Ensure all documentation is completed for handover.
- Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and operational efficiency of assigned vehicles.
- Report any faults or necessary repairs to management.
- Health and Safety Compliance
- Attend regular safety training and refresher programs.
- Wear required protective gear at all times while on duty.
- Comply with all workplace safety policies and report incidents immediately.

- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- PSIRA registration.
- CIT (Cash-in-Transit) certificate.
- Valid SAPS Firearm Competency for Business Purposes.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Experience in a high-risk security environment is advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus in fast-paced conditions.
