Job Description

The YES for Youth candidate will work full-time at DHL’s Kempton Park site, assisting with various supply chain functions and warehouse support. This is a 12-month opportunity designed to help young South Africans gain their first formal workplace experience in a professional and structured environment.

  • Learning and adhering to delivery and warehouse operating procedures
  • Assisting with loading and offloading tasks as per company and client delivery procedures
  • Supporting the receiving, checking, and dispatching of goods
  • Reporting and documenting any non-conformities regarding stock or customer deliveries
  • Following team leader and managerial instructions to carry out operational tasks
  • Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and safety in the workplace
  • Using handling equipment correctly and reporting defects or concerns to supervisors

Role Responsibility

Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Performing loading and offloading duties according to delivery instructions

  • Ensuring all goods handled meet customer expectations and quality standards
  • Following safe operating procedures and wearing PPE as required
  • Working in shifts or rotating schedules, depending on business needs
  • Supporting administrative functions related to deliveries or stock tracking
  • Assisting in organising stock, ensuring workplace efficiency and cleanliness
  • Following all security procedures to safeguard goods and operations
