Job Description
The Utilityman will be responsible for performing a variety of manual and unskilled tasks to support operations, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and moving equipment. The role also involves cleaning, maintaining, and ensuring the safety of workshops, test apparatus, and other related facilities. Adherence to Eskom’s safety procedures and operational guidelines is crucial for the successful execution of responsibilities.

Role Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment and areas before conducting electrical tests on transformers as per required test procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment to support operational efficiency.
- Clean high-voltage test apparatus, test instruments, and designated test areas.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained after use.
- Participate in regular workshop toolbox talks to enhance knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Follow safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) protocols to maintain high standards of operation.
