Job Description

The Capitec Internship Programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application. Over a 12-month fixed-term contract, successful candidates will gain invaluable on-the-job experience across various departments aligned with their qualifications. Interns will be exposed to live business environments, working alongside experienced professionals to support and deliver business solutions.

Interns will rotate through departments or work within a focused area depending on the bank’s strategic needs and the intern’s field of study. The programme supports key business functions such as data analytics, information technology, finance, digital marketing, actuarial analysis, and customer experience, among others.

As part of the internship, candidates will receive mentoring, attend development workshops, and take part in impactful projects that offer insight into the future of banking. Ideal Candidate

To qualify for the internship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Completed a relevant Bachelor’s or Honours degree within the last three years
  • Available to commit to a full-time 12-month internship based in Stellenbosch
  • Must not have previously completed a formal internship programme
  • No more than two years of formal working experience
  • Must pass credit and criminal checks
  • Must not be currently enrolled in full-time studies

Role Responsibility
