Job Description
The Learner Miner Programme aims to train and develop individuals to operate efficiently within a mining operation. Learners will undergo technical and theoretical training aligned with MQA/DMRE requirements while receiving mentorship and hands-on experience. Key responsibilities include:

Participating in structured technical training programmes
Following all health and safety regulations on the mine
Meeting performance standards set in evaluation cycles
Maintaining professional conduct and adherence to company policies
Demonstrating commitment to personal and career development
Collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve operational goals

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (NQF 4) or N3 qualification with two languages passed
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mining operation
Must be a resident or school leaver from one of the Host Communities: Bekkersdaal, Zuurberkom, Thusanang, Hillshaven, Westonaria, Poortjie, Simunye, Kalbasfontein, or Jachtfontein
Medically fit for underground mining, including passing a Heat Tolerance Screening test and other required assessments
