The Limpopo Department of Sports, Arts and Culture is inviting applications for the 2025 Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). This initiative offers unemployed South Africans the opportunity to gain practical work experience, develop industry skills, and earn a monthly stipend while contributing to sports, arts, heritage, and public service projects. A total of 106 positions are available across Limpopo Province on a fixed-term basis.

About
The Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) is a national government initiative aimed at providing short-term work opportunities linked to training and skills development. Through this programme, participants in Limpopo will assist with projects that enhance community facilities and services in sports, arts, and culture.

Available Jobs

  1. Job Position: EPWP Cleaners – 21 Posts
    Job Type: Fixed-term (7 months)
    Qualification: Grade 12 (NQF Level 4), cleaning-related training is an advantage
    Experience: Knowledge of cleaning equipment, safety procedures, and basic interpersonal skills; preference for women, youth, and persons with disabilities
  2. Job Position: EPWP General Workers – 5 Posts
    Job Type: Fixed-term (7 months)
    Qualification: Grade 10 or ABET Level 2
    Experience: Physically fit, not allergic to grass, basic maintenance skills (paving, bush clearing, firebreaks, soil erosion control), ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
  3. Job Position: EPWP Record Clerk – 1 Post
    Job Type: Fixed-term (7 months)
    Qualification: Grade 12 (NQF Level 4), Diploma/Degree in Records Management, Information Science, or related field is an advantage
    Experience: Knowledge of archival services, Batho Pele principles, public service regulations, and computer literacy
  4. Job Position: EPWP Hub and Club Coordinators – 79 Posts
    Job Type: Fixed-term (7 months)
    Qualification: Grade 12 (NQF Level 4), Diploma/Degree in Sport Management/Administration is an advantage
    Experience: Facilitation, presentation, project planning, and report writing skills, computer literacy, active participation in sports
