Job Description
The EPWP Youth Graduate Work Opportunities Programme 2025 is a 4-month placement aimed at boosting employability for environmental science and natural resource management graduates. Interns will be involved in community-based environmental improvement projects, including conservation, air quality management, forestry support, landscaping, and biodiversity initiatives.
The programme not only offers participants a daily stipend of R247.50, but also practical experience and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful environmental work within their communities.

Minimum Entry Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 35
- Must be currently unemployed
- Must reside in the Rand West City Local Municipality
- Must have a minimum qualification of M+3 (Matric plus a 3-year tertiary qualification) in any of the following fields:
- Environmental Science
- Biodiversity
- Conservation
- Forestry
- Air Quality Management
- Landscaping
- Horticulture
