Job Description
As a Communications Intern, you’ll support Siemens Energy’s Middle East & Africa team by contributing to internal and external communications projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional, regional, and international teams, playing a pivotal role in promoting the Siemens Energy brand and helping communicate its vision to a global audience.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Writing and editing content such as articles, press releases, newsletters, speeches, and social media posts
- Assisting in storytelling initiatives by curating and developing success stories from across the organization
- Supporting the execution of communication campaigns, publicity events, and marketing initiatives
- Participating in internal and external events with content and logistical coordination
- Assisting in creative storytelling, including creating multimedia content like videos and infographics
- Working with communications managers to align messaging across platforms and regions
- Collaborating with global teams to address communication-related challenges
- Handling administrative and operational communications tasks as needed
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position is a driven, enthusiastic, and innovative communicator who has:
- A background in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- Recently graduated or currently pursuing an NQF-aligned qualification
- A solid understanding of branding, PR, and digital communication practices
- Creativity and curiosity about global communication strategies
- A passion for storytelling, both written and visual

Role Responsibility
The Communications Intern will work under the guidance of the regional communications team and assist in executing Siemens Energy’s content strategy. Key responsibilities will include:
- Content creation across print and digital channels
- Multimedia storytelling support, including video editing and social media campaigns
- Administrative coordination of communication tasks, including event logistics
- Ensuring alignment with Siemens Energy’s brand identity and tone of voice
- Managing internal communications support projects
- Assisting with project tracking, reporting, and analytics for communication efforts
- Contributing to team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and global communication updates
Skills and Attributes

Technical Skills:
- Strong writing and editing capabilities
- Experience with video and photo editing software is an advantage
- Knowledge of social media tools and platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, etc.)

- Familiarity with project management tools is a plus
