Role Responsibility:

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of key functions to ensure that the store operates smoothly and efficiently. Below are the key responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth: Your primary responsibility will be to increase sales by focusing on exceptional customer service and maintaining world-class store standards. You will also oversee stock management and ensure the smooth implementation of promotional activities.
  • Stock Management & Loss Prevention: You will work to minimize stock loss by fostering a healthy store culture, implementing security measures, and adhering to strict stock and cash handling procedures.
  • Cost Control: Maintaining the company’s low-cost culture is essential. You will drive efficiencies in-store operations, ensuring that all costs are kept within budget while maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Administrative Duties: You will ensure that all store administrative tasks are completed according to the company’s guidelines, maintaining accurate records and reports as necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Leading a dynamic team of “Dynamos,” you will take responsibility for training, coaching, and managing the team’s performance. Your leadership will help ensure that your team is motivated, productive, and aligned with the store’s goals.
  • Store Standards: You will oversee general health, safety, and housekeeping standards, ensuring the store environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for both employees and customers.

Effective Management of Staff:

Managing a motivated, effective team is crucial to achieving the store’s objectives. Here’s how the role incorporates effective staff management:

  • Training & Development: You will ensure that all team members are well-trained and have the skills to meet store performance standards. Regular coaching will ensure that employees are continuously improving their customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Performance Monitoring: As a Store Manager, you’ll evaluate your team’s performance, setting clear goals and providing constructive feedback to guide their development.

Job Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (essential)
  • Proficiency in English (essential)
  • Tertiary Education: A degree/diploma in a business or retail-related field (preferable)

  • Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office and/or Google GSuite (preferable)

This position is based in Gauteng and is a permanent role with a market-related salary.
