Job Description
Afrimat is seeking applications for four learnership positions in critical engineering disciplines. These opportunities are ideal for candidates who have recently completed their N2 trade qualifications and are looking for practical experience in a structured and safety-driven work environment.

  • Auto Electrician Learnerships (x2)
  • Boilermaker Learnership (x1)
  • Fitter & Turner Learnership (x1)

Selected learners will undergo a structured training programme that blends on-the-job learning with formal institutional modules to prepare them for trade testing and long-term employability in the mining and engineering industries.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Northern Cape resident with a strong interest in mining, mechanical or electrical trades, and a desire to gain recognized industry experience. Candidates must show discipline, technical acumen, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced operational setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant N2 qualification in the applicable trade
  • Valid Learner’s Licence or Driver’s Licence
  • Valid South African ID
  • Must reside in the Northern Cape
  • Medically fit according to the Mine Health and Safety Act

  • Assisting qualified artisans in performing maintenance and repair work

  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and workspaces
  • Logging progress and submitting records for evaluation
