Who is SANRAL?:
The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) is a state-owned entity responsible for the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of South Africa’s national road network. SANRAL also plays a critical role in supporting economic transformation through initiatives that promote supplier development, SMME participation, and skills empowerment within the infrastructure sector.
What is the role?:
The Supplier Development Desk Internship provides graduates with an opportunity to assist SMMEs by managing queries related to tenders, transformation initiatives, and development opportunities. Interns will work closely with Provincial Transformation Officers to ensure efficient operations of the supplier development desks.
What you will gain:

Candidate role during the programme:
- Manage incoming queries from the SANRAL Transformation Portal, telephone, and walk-ins
- Maintain and update the query and response register
- Provide information to SMMEs on transformation initiatives
- Use the online Supplier Development Desk portal to assist SMMEs
- Monitor and analyse queries for trends
- Attend Transformation Unit and stakeholder meetings, taking minutes where required
- Compile and summarise tender information from various departments
- Assist with filing and administrative duties for the Transformation Office

Are you Eligible? (Requirements):
- Bachelor of Administration in Public Administration/Public Management or equivalent qualification
- No previous work experience required
- Must not have participated in any internship programme before
- Willingness to be placed according to proximity to relevant SANRAL offices
