Programme Overview

The opportunity available within the YES4Youth programme is the Service & Support Controller role. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing customer installation requests, repairs, and service queries to ensure efficient workflow and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Participants will assist with scheduling technician tasks, handling customer service requests, maintaining administrative records, and supporting operational processes within the service department.

  • Receive installation requests from the New Business and Contracts Department

  • Allocate jobs to technicians appropriately and timeously
  • Monitor progress of logged and scheduled service calls

Customer Request and Query Handling

  • Receive calls and emails from customers requesting repairs, de-installations, or re-installations
  • Manage customer queries and ensure they are resolved effectively
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate departments when necessary
  • Maintain professional communication with customers

System Management and Administrative Tasks

  • Capture and update customer information on internal systems
  • Ensure accurate system usage when allocating technician work
  • Record all job and customer information after each interaction
  • Process job cards and submit them to invoicing through the CRM system

Technical Coordination

  • Liaise with the control room to test customer vehicles when required
  • Ensure technicians receive accurate job instructions and information

Stock and Resource Control

  • Maintain stock control for installation and repair materials
  • Ensure all documentation and usage records are accurate

Financial and Billing Support

  • Verify warranty details for service jobs
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure accurate invoicing

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be between 18 and 29 years old
  • Must be unemployed
  • Must not have previously participated in the YES4Youth programme
  • Must not have a criminal record
  • Must be able to start employment on 1 May 2026
  • Must reside close to the workplace area
  • Highest qualification must be Grade 12

Qualifications related to customer service, business administration, or operations will be an added advantage.
