City of Joburg Finance Internships The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Transport Department is offering an exciting Internship opportunity for a duration not exceeding 18 months.

Position: Internship – Revenue
Remuneration:
- For candidates with a completed qualification (minimum 360 credits): R9,531.54 per month
- For currently enrolled students: R3,500.00 per month
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) and a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification.
- Only residents of the City of Johannesburg will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with ensuring accurate accounting of cash sales at Rea Vaya stations.
- Support the revenue officer in managing cash banking and accounting for all transactions.
- Help ensure timely reporting of financial data.
- Assist in managing inventory according to City policies and regulations.
- Contribute to the preparation of audit files.
Key Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Core Learning Areas:
- Familiarity with GRAP Standards.
- Knowledge of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA).
