This 18-month internship is designed to empower unemployed South African graduates with valuable, real-world experience within the retail logistics and finance landscape.
The programme is open to candidates located in Cape Town, Durban, and Centurion, and will be based at one of Clicks’ state-of-the-art Distribution Centres. Job Description
The purpose of this internship is to provide structured work exposure for graduates who have completed a National N6 Certificate in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Management. The programme is geared toward individuals who wish to gain logistics finance work experience while contributing to one of South Africa’s most trusted brands.
Participants will be integrated into the Logistics Finance team, where they will:
- Support the processing and reconciliation of supplier and logistics-related transactions
- Assist with preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
- Collaborate on audits, data entry, and financial controls
- Gain hands-on experience with finance software systems
- Contribute to cost analyses and inventory control within the supply chain
- Develop soft skills through mentorship and team collaboration
Interns will receive guidance from experienced professionals and will be evaluated on their ability to learn and apply critical thinking in finance-related tasks.
Ideal Candidate

- Have completed a National N6 Certificate in one of the following:
- Financial Management
- Accounting
- Finance
- Are currently unemployed and not enrolled in any other learnership or internship
- Are South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 27 years
- Can commit to an 18-month full-time internship
- Are based in or willing to relocate to Cape Town, Durban, or Centurion
- Have strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn

Role Responsibility
Interns will be immersed in the financial functions that support Clicks’ Distribution Centres. Under supervision, they will:
- Capture and reconcile logistics expenses and ensure cost accuracy
- Support day-to-day finance operations within the warehouse or distribution centre
- Assist in preparing financial data and reports for senior finance managers
- Monitor inventory costs and variances
- Perform basic administrative duties and support audit preparation
- Maintain financial records in line with compliance and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and operational teams
Interns are expected to show initiative, complete assignments on time, and participate in continuous feedback sessions throughout the programme.
