Joburg Market invites you to participate in the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) 2025, an exciting 12-month initiative that offers meaningful employment and skill-building opportunities.
This is your chance to make a difference while earning a monthly stipend of R5,000 and contributing to essential services across various roles.
Programme Details
- Closing Date: 10 January 2025 at 12:00 (mid-day)
- Duration: 12 months
- Stipend: R5,000.00 per month
- Target Groups: Youth, women, and differently-abled individuals are highly encouraged to apply.
Preference will be given to individuals who have not previously participated in an EPWP programme.
Available Vacancies and Roles
- General Workers (x50 Posts)
- Qualifications: Grade 10
- Responsibilities: Cleaning platforms, compactors, rocker bins, floors, and surfaces. Manning and emptying waste bins following Health and Safety Standards.
- Cleaners (x9 Posts)
- Qualifications: Grade 10
- Responsibilities: Sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and cleaning offices, kitchens, stairs, and bathrooms. Replenishing bathroom utensils and kitchen refreshment supplies.
- Platform Wardens (Security) (x10 Posts)
- Qualifications: Grade 12
- Responsibilities: Conducting security patrols, controlling access and exit points for pedestrians and vehicles, and enforcing JM By-Laws.
- Maintenance Assistants (x10 Posts)
- Qualifications: Grade 10
- Responsibilities: Unblocking toilets, fixing plumbing, and general repair tasks.
- Consignment Gate Controllers (x10 Posts)
- Qualifications: Grade 12
- Responsibilities: Verifying delivery notes, stopping and searching delivery trucks, and directing them as needed.
- Marketing Assistant (x1 Post)
- Qualifications: Grade 12
- Responsibilities: Assisting with administrative marketing tasks and managing branding equipment.
- HR Assistants (x2 Posts)
- Qualifications: Grade 12
- Responsibilities: Performing HR administrative duties and organizing files.
- Food Bank Assistants (x6 Posts)
- Qualifications: Grade 10
- Responsibilities: Packaging fresh produce.
- Property Assistants (x2 Posts)
- Qualifications: Grade 12
- Responsibilities: Assisting with various property-related functions.
