Job Description:
The internship programme offers four graduate opportunities in the fields of Internal Auditing, Finance, and Legal Services. Interns will be placed in various departments under the guidance of experienced municipal officials. Each position includes departmental assignments, reporting duties, practical field exposure, and development-focused tasks that align with the South African government’s commitment to empowering young professionals.

Available Internship Opportunities:

1. Internal Audit Internship Programme (2 Posts)

  • Department: Office of the Municipal Manager

  • Stipend: R100,000.00 per annum

Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Internal Auditing or Accounting
  • Knowledge of Internal Auditing Standards and professional ethics
  • Analytical thinking and creative problem-solving ability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel within the municipal district

Key Duties:

  • Assist in planning and conducting internal audits
  • Compile audit findings and reports
  • Identify control and system weaknesses
  • Propose practical recommendations to enhance governance

2. Municipal Finance Management Internship (1 Post)

  • LLB Degree
  • Valid driver’s license
