Job Description:
Successful applicants will be enrolled in the Diploma in Nursing and receive structured theoretical and practical training across four Gauteng College of Nursing campuses:
- Ann Latsky Nursing Campus
- Chris Hani Baragwanath Nursing Campus
- SG Lourens Nursing Campus
- Bonalesedi Nursing Campus
The programme includes Work Integrated Learning (WIL) in Gauteng Department of Health hospitals and clinics, involving real-life clinical training and hands-on exposure to the healthcare environment. The course prepares students to qualify as General Nurses in line with South African Nursing Council (SANC) standards.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen and reside in the Gauteng Province.
- Possess one of the following educational qualifications:
- Senior Certificate with:
- English HG D or SG C
- Biology HG D or SG C
- Mathematics HG D or SG C
- Minimum M-score: 17
- National Senior Certificate with:
- English Level 4
- Life Sciences Level 4
- Mathematics Level 4 or Mathematical Literacy Level 5
- APS score of 27 or higher (Note: Life Orientation counts half)
- National Vocational Certificate – Primary Health with:
- 50% in Fundamental Subjects (English FAL, Mathematics/Maths Literacy, Life Orientation)
- 60% in Vocational Subjects (SA Health Care System, Public Health, Human Body and Mind, COPC)
- Current Grade 12 learners may apply using Grade 11 final results, but must meet the National Senior Certificate standards.
