Updated Salary Details
In line with the revised 2024/2025 salary and wage curve agreement:
- Annual Basic Salary: R149,028.00 – R163,260.00 (Level 13, Grade 04 Local Authority)
- Total Remuneration Package (Including Benefits): R277,497.44 per annum
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Grade 10 (Grade 12 is a plus).
- License: A valid driver’s license (advantageous).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in general labor within the Electrical Section in a Local Government setting.
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor tasks.
- Basic knowledge and skills for handling manual work.
- Self-discipline, a proactive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
As a General Worker in the Electrical Section, your role will include:

Safely load and unload materials and equipment in compliance with safety protocols. - Traffic Management:
Set up appropriate traffic signage during excavation and maintenance operations to ensure public safety. - Worksite Maintenance:
