Job Description
The Kagiso Trust Internship Programme is structured to allow graduates to work closely with experienced professionals across various departments, supporting ongoing projects and initiatives that drive social transformation. Ideal Candidate
The ideal intern must be an ambitious, purpose-driven individual who is passionate about social change and eager to contribute to national development. The candidate must be unemployed, between 18 and 35 years old, and have completed a relevant qualification for the internship they are applying for. Prior internship or permanent work experience in the field is not allowed, ensuring fairness and opportunity for fresh entrants.
Applicants must meet these baseline requirements:
- Be a South African citizen
- Possess a certified Grade 12/NQF Level 4 qualification
- Have completed a relevant National Diploma or Degree
- Provide a certified ID copy and academic transcript
- Submit a short CV and a motivational letter (minimum three pages)
- Not be enrolled in full-time study during the internship period
- Not have participated in a previous internship in the same field
Role Responsibility
Interns will report to their departmental supervisors and contribute to key performance areas aligned with Kagiso Trust’s development goals. Responsibilities may vary across departments but will generally include:
- Participating in strategy and planning meetings
- Handling administrative and logistical tasks
- Conducting and presenting research
- Assisting in programme implementation and tracking
