About the Programme
Eskom invites unemployed South African youth to apply for its 2025 Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme. The YES Programme is a national initiative by the Presidency aimed at empowering youth with practical workplace experience.
Successful applicants will gain hands-on exposure in the energy sector, particularly within Eskom’s operations and maintenance divisions in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Free State.
Minimum Requirements:
- South African citizenship
- Age between 18 and 34
- Grade 12 certificate, and/or relevant post-matric qualification
Selection Criteria:
- Not permanently employed with one employer for more than 1 year
- Not enrolled in full-time studies in 2025
- Not previously participated in any YES programme
- Willing to undergo Eskom’s recruitment and placement process
Programme Duration:
- 12 months
- Monthly stipend provided
- Work experience in a high-impact national utility company
