Our Talent & Culture (T&C) Department is calling on recent graduates or final-year HR students to apply for an exciting internship opportunity. This role offers exposure to various facets of Human Resource operations—from recruitment and onboarding to benefits administration and employee development. Job Description
As a Talent & Culture Intern, you’ll be deeply involved in day-to-day HR operations across our national restaurant network. You’ll support the execution of HR initiatives, assist with administration, and act as a key liaison between the T&C department and operational teams.
You’ll gain insight into HR systems, recruitment processes, onboarding, learning and development platforms, and certification tracking—all while developing critical communication and compliance skills.
Your internship experience will include structured training, mentorship from HR professionals, and real-time work exposure to South Africa’s hospitality and food services sector.

Role Responsibility
You’ll assist across key Human Resources functions such as:
1. Administrative Duties
- Capture and maintain employee records using internal systems
- Handle and resolve internal T&C queries from restaurant staff
- Update tracker sheets and manage employee exit records
- Submit ISM forms and manage GEM and SSAM portals
- Capture Statutory and IOD leave on PaySpace
2. Onboarding
- Conduct background checks and employee vetting
- Verify and organise onboarding packs
- Capture new hires on the PaySpace HR system
3. Recruitment & Development
- Draft and issue employment offers and contracts
- Coordinate external appointments in collaboration with restaurant managers
- Track progress in assessment and development initiatives
4. Benefits Administration
- Assist with provident fund registration, withdrawal, and retirement claims
- Liaise with third-party benefit providers for queries and submissions
- Maintain up-to-date records on benefit documents
5. The Vault – Learning Management System
- Track e-learning progress and maintain digital learning records
- Generate learning analytics reports and share updates with T&C managers
- Provide technical support to employees accessing the system
6. Certification Management
- Review completion status of online courses
- Process internal certifications and report learning milestones
