About the Role

The Client Liaison Administrator role is designed for graduates seeking short-term professional experience in administration and stakeholder relations.

You’ll support merSETA’s regional operations, handle client engagement, and ensure compliance with the authority’s policies and processes — all while contributing to South Africa’s national skills development initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

As a Client Liaison Administrator, your tasks will include:

  • Maintaining accurate records and stakeholder documentation.
  • Responding to and resolving queries from learners and stakeholders.
  • Processing and validating learner registrations in line with SETA policies.
  • Providing administrative and secretarial support to regional managers.
  • Assisting with data capturing, report generation, and database management.
  • Coordinating suspension and reinstatement processes for learners/apprentices.
  • Guiding stakeholders on skills development procedures.
  • Supporting merSETA events, outreach activities, and workshops.
  • Tracking and monitoring project performance against organisational goals.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in:
    • Business Administration
    • Office Administration
    • Commerce
    • Project Management
    • Training & Development
  • Experience: At least 1 year in administration and client service within a corporate or educational setting.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Databases).
    • Knowledge of Skills Development legislation and SETA frameworks.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Organised, analytical, and detail-oriented.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
