Job Description
As a Branch Consultant, your primary focus is to deliver exceptional customer service and grow Sanlam Retail Mass’s (SRM) market share through:
- Selling Sanlam’s retail products in-branch
- Providing sound financial advice to clients
- Enhancing client relationships through tailored solutions
- Executing monthly sales plans and service reports
- Ensuring full compliance with FAIS and regulatory standards
- Promoting cross-selling and value-added services
- Supporting client retention efforts through proactive service
- Representing Sanlam professionally in the local community
You will report to the Branch Manager and work closely with stakeholders including area managers, local business owners, community forums, and activation sites.

Role Responsibility
- Meet and exceed branch sales targets through effective consulting
- Provide excellent in-branch customer service
- Identify and leverage cross-selling opportunities
- Manage customer portfolios and support retention
- Prepare detailed reports of all sales and service activities
- Engage community and business stakeholders to grow client base
- Drive client education and awareness about Sanlam’s financial solutions

- Familiarity with insurance regulatory frameworks (advantageous)
- Tenacity and resilience to achieve monthly targets

- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Bilingual communication skills (advantageous)
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- National Diploma (preferred but not compulsory)
- RE5 Certificate (advantageous)
- FAIS-compliant as per DOFA (for Wealth Management)
- 1+ year of sales or marketing experience (insurance branch experience advantageous)
