Job Description
RCL Foods is seeking a QC Laboratory Intern to join the Milling Division, located in Pretoria West. This full-time internship is designed for graduates who require in-service training to complete their Food Technology or Food Science qualifications. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Laboratory Technician and assist in conducting daily lab testing and analysis of food products and raw materials.
The internship provides a structured learning experience that includes:
- Applying laboratory SOPs to analyze finished products
- Testing raw materials upon delivery to ensure quality standards
- Conducting control sample tests and maintaining records within acceptable error limits
- Recording, interpreting, and distributing results accurately and on time
- Collecting samples from various production areas per schedule
- Supporting daily lab operations and route planning
- Adhering to and promoting strict laboratory safety protocols
- Identifying and reporting potential safety risks
Ideal Candidate
To qualify, applicants must have one of the following:
- BSc or BSc(Hons) in Food Science or a closely related field
- National Diploma or BTech in Food Technology or equivalent
