NYDA Youth Empowerment Learnerships 2024 Now Open (x250) The Department of Sport, Arts & Culture, in collaboration with the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), is recruiting young people from the Creative & Cultural Industries for a one-year National Youth Service Programme, known as The Young Creatives Programme. This initiative aims to engage youth in arts and culture within their communities.
Monthly Stipend: R4,500 p/m
Closing Date: 30 November 2024
Starting Date: 20 January 2025
Ending Date: 31 January 2026
Location: All 9 Provinces
Key Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Leading arts and cultural activities at Community Arts Centres and in schools.
- Mobilizing schools and youth groups to participate in The Young Creatives Programme.
- Coordinating and supporting community events related to The Young Creatives Programme.
- Building relationships with local community organizations and youth groups.
- Administering the monitoring process for programme implementation at community centres and schools.
- Committing to personal growth and skill development.
Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 certificate; a tertiary qualification is a bonus.
- Age: 18 to 35 years old.

Skills and Competencies:
