Job Description
The Intern: Customer Experience role involves direct telephonic engagement with Sage’s customer base. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction by resolving account issues, guiding customers on how to navigate Sage’s digital platforms, and updating system records for better client servicing.
You’ll gain firsthand experience in:
- Handling inbound and outbound customer calls
- Educating users on using Sage’s IVR systems and customer portals
- Updating internal databases and maintaining accurate customer information
- Resolving queries and escalating complex issues
- Coordinating with internal teams for issue resolution
- Identifying customer trends and providing feedback to management
This hybrid role requires interns to work on-site at Sage’s Midrand office three days a week.

- A Matric Certificate (Grade 12) is essential
- A tertiary qualification (diploma or degree) is an advantage

- Knowledge or interest in Accounting, Payroll, or HR software is a bonus

Role Responsibility
As an Intern: Customer Experience, your core duties will include:
- Proactively calling customers to confirm account details and resolve outstanding issues
- Educating customers on digital self-service tools
- Logging all interactions and resolutions in the internal systems
- Collaborating with internal departments to escalate and resolve queries
- Reporting on call outcomes and trends to the Customer Experience leadership
- Assisting in delivering exceptional customer support aligned with Sage’s brand
