Job Description:
As the Head of Strategy, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and monitoring SANParks’ corporate strategy, ensuring alignment with national programmes and sectoral priorities. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Planning
- Lead the formulation and implementation of SANParks’ long-term strategy

- Integrate strategic risk considerations into all planning and reporting processes
- Monitor compliance with labour and HR prescripts, and contribute to staff wellness and support programmes
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Liaise with the Board, executive teams, government departments, and community stakeholders
- Represent SANParks in intergovernmental forums and environmental sector platforms
- Communicate strategic intent, goals, and progress to both internal and external stakeholders
- Build networks with industry experts, policy leaders, and business partners
People and Change Management

Job Description:
The Inventory Controller will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, tracking, distribution, and auditing of inventory stock across all departments, camps, and sections of Addo Elephant National Park. The role requires someone who is capable of working independently, coordinating between various teams, and managing time-sensitive stock levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement of inventory items for all park departments and camps
- Receiving and logging stock using inventory control tools (stock cards, inventory sheets)
- Validating and signing off tax invoices and submitting documents for payment processing
- Issuing stock against authorised request forms and updating systems accordingly
- Establishing minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid shortages
- Sending RFQs timeously to suppliers to maintain replenishment cycles
- Conducting monthly stock takes and reconciling physical vs theoretical stock balances
- Reporting stock discrepancies and initiating corrective actions
- Managing obsolete inventory and coordinating bi-annual write-offs
- Collaborating with Finance Officers in weekly reporting and review meetings
- Participating in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and operational meetings
- Maintaining professional relationships with internal stakeholders across departments
