Job Description
As a Business Banking Coverage Graduate, your journey will span various roles and exposure to strategic client solutions across 14 industry sectors. The programme focuses on equipping you with both soft and technical skills necessary to build strong client relationships, evaluate financial information, and support dynamic business portfolios.
Your responsibilities include:
- Assisting Relationship Managers with the day-to-day management of business portfolios
- Supporting sales and service delivery to high-value Premium and Growth Segment clients
- Engaging clients with an ecosystem-driven mindset to uncover growth opportunities
- Performing administrative duties, operational support, and compliance checks
- Helping to grow and retain a profitable business client portfolio through personalised service
- Supporting credit-related processes and financial analysis
Through immersive training and mentorship, you’ll learn how to manage portfolios, assess risk, and add value to businesses through customised financial solutions.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a driven, enthusiastic graduate or final-year student with a strong foundation in commerce or agricultural economics. You must be eager to learn and able to translate complex financial data into actionable insights that help grow client businesses.
Key candidate criteria:
- Undergraduate or Honours student (must complete qualification by 31 December 2025)
- A strong academic record with full transcripts provided at the time of application
- South African citizenship
- 0–12 months post-graduation work experience
Role Responsibility
As a programme participant, you’ll support key functions within the Business Banking Coverage division. Your daily tasks will include:
- Shadowing Relationship Managers to understand client-centric service
- Learning to manage compliance and KYC (Know Your Customer) requirements
- Monitoring portfolio performance and assisting in client onboarding
- Engaging with clients to understand their business needs and offer financial solutions
