Job Description
The Work Integrated Learning Programme is a fixed-term opportunity tailored for South African graduates looking to develop hands-on experience and acquire core production competencies. Upon successful completion, learners will be deemed competent as entry-level plant operators within Mondi’s manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing routine housekeeping tasks and pre-start equipment checks
  • Assisting with plant startups and shutdowns under supervision
  • Conducting daily checks to minimize equipment and operational failures
  • Following company safety procedures to ensure safe operation of equipment
  • Collaborating with the production team to address performance-related issues
  • Gaining hands-on experience in troubleshooting and basic maintenance

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Pulp & Paper Technology
  • Minimum 60% average academic pass rate
  • P1 & P2 practical work experience in a heavy industry environment is an advantage
  • Valid South African driver’s license
  • South African citizenship
