Job Description
The Work Integrated Learning Programme is a fixed-term opportunity tailored for South African graduates looking to develop hands-on experience and acquire core production competencies. Upon successful completion, learners will be deemed competent as entry-level plant operators within Mondi’s manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Performing routine housekeeping tasks and pre-start equipment checks
- Assisting with plant startups and shutdowns under supervision
- Conducting daily checks to minimize equipment and operational failures
- Following company safety procedures to ensure safe operation of equipment
- Collaborating with the production team to address performance-related issues
- Gaining hands-on experience in troubleshooting and basic maintenance

Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Pulp & Paper Technology
- Minimum 60% average academic pass rate
- P1 & P2 practical work experience in a heavy industry environment is an advantage
- Valid South African driver’s license
- South African citizenship
