Multiple internship positions are available across Cape Town, Middelburg, and Queenstown in various disciplines including Engineering, Finance, HR, Logistics, Communications, and Quality Assurance.


Job Description

As a Twizza Intern, you’ll gain practical experience through structured learning and hands-on assignments that align with your academic qualification. You’ll also be supported by mentors and team leaders who will guide your journey, ensuring you build critical skills relevant to your chosen career path.

Interns will:

  • Work in a dynamic production, logistics, or corporate environment
  • Assist with real-time operational and business challenges
  • Gain insight into daily FMCG operations, compliance, and customer expectations
  • Develop soft skills such as teamwork, time management, communication, and initiative
  • Report to a line manager and complete performance reviews during the internship cycle

Ideal Candidate

To be considered for the Twizza Internship Programme, candidates must:

  • Be South African citizens aged 18–35
  • Have no prior SETA-funded internship experience
  • Be unemployed at the time of application
  • Have completed a relevant Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree as per each position’s requirements
  • Be available full-time from the date of appointment
  • Have strong problem-solving skills, digital literacy, and eagerness to learn

Role Responsibility

Each intern will have responsibilities tailored to their role and learning outcomes. Below is a summary of each discipline’s expectations:

Chemical Engineering Intern – Cape Town

  • Support production processes and perform lab testing
  • Assist with technical troubleshooting and WIL assignments
  • Collaborate with production teams for process improvements

Mechanical Engineering Intern – Middelburg & Queenstown

  • Participate in maintenance planning and equipment diagnostics
  • Assist with operational machinery and safety checks
  • Support technical staff with daily engineering tasks

Finance Intern – All Locations

  • Assist with invoicing, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial reports
  • Learn SAP or similar ERP tools
  • Ensure document accuracy and compliance

Quality Intern – All Locations

  • Perform laboratory tests on raw materials and final products
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Support quality audits and calibration checks

HR Intern – Cape Town & Middelburg

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and HR admin
  • Assist with training coordination and employee engagement activities
  • Handle filing and HR data management tasks

Supply Chain / Logistics Intern – All Locations

  • Track inventory, deliveries, and dispatch scheduling
  • Collaborate with the warehouse, procurement, and production teams
  • Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics

Communications Intern

  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies
  • Create and schedule social media content using tools like Canva
  • Coordinate internal newsletters and external communications

Skills and Attributes

  • Analytical thinking and numerical literacy (especially for finance and engineering interns)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in a high-speed environment
  • Technical aptitude (depending on discipline)
  • Computer literacy – proficient in MS Office, with Excel and PowerPoint knowledge an advantage
  • Creative flair – especially for Communications Interns
  • Adaptability and willingness to work under pressure

Position Summary

The Twizza 2025 Internship Programme offers hands-on training, mentorship, and industry-aligned experience for recent graduates.
