    • Execution of the Health Strategy at a complex or regional level.
    • Plan and organise the full spectrum of work-based health services.
    • Line management responsibilities for all facilities linked to a complex or region.
    • Assume clinical responsibilities as required.
    • Oversee and approve staffing in line with approved structures and budget.
    • Operational Management including financial and administrative oversight.
    • Resource planning and budgeting for health services.
    • Implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of clinical programs.
    • Monitor performance standards and outputs to ensure compliance.
    • Oversee governance and reporting of WBHS at outsourced facilities (where applicable).
    • Ensure adherence to clinical governance (training, quality of care & peer reviews).
    • Respond to cross-functional requirements at a complex or regional level.
    • Ensure quality service delivery by third-party healthcare providers.
    • Oversee health reporting for the complex or region.
    • Develop analytical reports for presentation to SHE function leads.

    The Ideal Candidate

    Qualifications

    • MBChB (Essential)
    • Diploma in Occupational Health (Essential)
    • Registered with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa
    • Valid EB/Code 08 driver’s license

    Desirable Qualifications

    • Postgraduate training in trauma and emergency care
    • Postgraduate training in family or internal medicine

    Experience

    • At least 10 years of work experience
    • Over 2 years of general managerial experience
    • Clinical program management experience
    • Experience in the mining industry (Desirable)

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Extensive knowledge of occupational disease management programs
    • In-depth understanding of workplace hazards affecting health
    • Strong clinical program and medical management experience
    • Proven success in leading occupational and non-occupational disease management (TB, HIV/AIDS)
    • Track record in generating innovative ideas and implementing them successfully

    • Ensure equipment availability, utilization, and planned maintenance.

    • Capture accurate maintenance data and complete required reports.
    • Uphold housekeeping standards.
    Rigger Administration
    • Obtain daily and weekly work instructions from the Engineering Foreman.
    • Plan and prioritize work tasks, resource requirements, and logistics.
    • Communicate resource needs to the Logistics Supervisor.
    • Complete safety, hazard, risk, and incident reports.
    • Maintain accurate shift/work order records.
    • Sign off on allocated work orders and ensure technical data accuracy.
    • Requisition stock items and prepare necessary reports.
    • Participate in safety meetings and role administration.
    Rigger Maintenance
    • Ensure compliance with planned maintenance schedules.
    • Perform tasks to required standards and specifications.
    • Follow safety and legal requirements.
    • Use appropriate tools and materials for maintenance tasks.
    • Ensure safe and proper functioning of all machinery and equipment.
    • Supervise multi-task team members to complete assigned work.
    • Wear prescribed safety equipment at all times.
    • Complete and sign off planned inspection orders.
    Teamwork & Operational Support
    • Identify opportunities for operational improvements.
    • Support improvement projects and problem-solving efforts.
    • Coordinate maintenance activities with Shift Supervisors.
    • Provide training and guidance on low-level maintenance tasks.
    • Report operational problems outside immediate responsibility.
