Overview
Mogale City Local Municipality, in partnership with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE), invites applications from unemployed South African youth for a 5-month EPWP Internship Programme. This initiative aims to create meaningful work experience and environmental impact through practical field roles and community-based environmental projects.
Minimum Requirements
✅ South African citizen
✅ Age: 18–35 years
✅ Matric + 3-year tertiary qualification in one of the following:
- Environment
- Biodiversity
- Conservation
- Forestry
- Air Quality
- Landscaping & Horticulture
✅ Must be currently unemployed
✅ Residents of Mogale City will be given preference
✅ People with disabilities are encouraged to apply
Available Internship Streams & Responsibilities

| Nature Conservation | 5 | Participate in biodiversity monitoring and conservation projects |
| Urban Green | 10 | Involve in tree planting, greening and community gardening |
| Bylaw Enforcement | 20 | Patrol dumping hotspots, promote recycling and enforce bylaws |
