Job Description
The successful candidate will serve as a Cleaner within getWorth’s office and warehouse environment, taking responsibility for maintaining a high standard of hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation across all designated areas.
You’ll work as part of a small, supportive team, but much of your work will require independence, initiative, and reliability. It’s not just about cleaning; it’s about being a part of a mission that delivers an exceptional environment for employees and customers alike.
Daily tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Performing routine cleaning of all areas including offices, meeting rooms, common areas, and restrooms
- Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained throughout the premises
- Restocking supplies in restrooms and kitchens, ensuring availability of essentials
- Managing cleaning schedules for high-traffic areas and critical spaces
- Using appropriate cleaning materials and tools for various surfaces and tasks
- Being readily available during operational hours to respond to any immediate cleaning needs
- Ensuring floor safety by using visible wet floor signage during cleaning
- Assisting internal staff and occasionally interacting professionally with visiting clients
- Reporting any maintenance or supply issues to management
- Carrying out ad-hoc tasks and duties assigned from time to time

- Using cleaning tools and chemicals responsibly and safely
- Addressing immediate cleaning needs promptly throughout operational hours
- Displaying professional, customer-friendly behavior at all times
- Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Assisting with minor tasks that support other departments as needed

Skills and Attributes

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a professional cleaning role
- English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Preference for candidates fluent in Xhosa, Zulu, or Afrikaans
- A positive, can-do attitude with strong interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks
- Team-oriented with the capacity to work independently
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability
- Ability to lift light objects, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks
- No criminal record
