Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Code 10 truck over established routes, delivering products like bread and collecting payments.
- Ensure bulk deliveries are prompt and free of defects.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, checking tyres, lights, trailer couplings, and maintaining oil and water levels.
- Keep the truck’s interior and exterior clean and in good condition.
- Report any defects or breakdowns, conduct initial fault finding, and manage minor issues like tyre changes.
- Prevent speeding fines and traffic violations, while ensuring the safety of stock during shipment.
- Promote products to existing and prospective customers to increase sales and inform them of new products and price changes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Matric certificate.
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license with PDP.
- Strong communication skills, honesty, and punctuality.
- Ability to stay alert while driving and take ownership of tasks, even when fatigued.
- Professional appearance and adherence to safety regulations.
