What is SAPS Graduate Internships 2025/2026?

The SAPS Graduate Recruitment Scheme offers two streams:

  • Graduate Internships: For applicants with a completed Diploma or Degree (NQF level 6 or higher) registered on the NLRD.
  • Student Internships: For students requiring in-service training to complete their qualifications (must provide an institutional confirmation letter, not older than two years).

This is a 12-month structured programme where interns will gain professional skills, participate in departmental activities, and serve their communities.

Are you Eligible?

Applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens with a valid ID
  • Hold a Matric / NSC or NCV Level 4 certificate
  • Be unemployed and not previously employed in the relevant field
  • Have no criminal record or pending cases
  • Not have participated in any other internship in the same field
  • Reside in the province where applying
  • Submit a maximum of three applications (each with its own reference number and form)
