Job Description
The Supply Chain Graduate Programme is a full-time, immersive learning and development experience. Graduates are given the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure within the different aspects of Shoprite’s logistics and supply chain operations. This includes inbound logistics, warehousing, inventory management, outbound distribution, reverse logistics, and process improvement.
Key focus areas of the programme include:
- Rotation through various distribution centre departments
- Gaining a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end logistics operations
- Participating in supply chain process improvement projects
- Exposure to data-driven decision-making in logistics
- Learning about demand planning, inventory control, and transport optimisation
- Collaborating with internal teams to streamline retail supply networks
- Evaluating systems and tools used for logistics and warehouse management

Ideal Candidate

Minimum academic qualifications include:
- BCom in Supply Chain or Logistics Management
- BEng in Industrial Engineering
- BTech in Retail Business Management
- BSc in Quantitative Management
- BCom in International Business or Trade

Role Responsibility
As part of this graduate programme, selected individuals will:
- Undergo structured rotational training in various supply chain functions
- Participate in daily operations of warehouse and distribution centre environments
- Assist with stock planning, ordering, and logistics flow
- Contribute to the identification and resolution of operational bottlenecks
- Support demand planning and replenishment teams in forecasting product needs
- Work alongside supervisors to coordinate delivery schedules and transport planning
- Help monitor and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain effectiveness
- Gain insight into supplier and vendor management practices
- Assist in preparing reports and insights for senior management
