Anglo American Platinum is hereby inviting applications for internship and P1/P2 programme aimed at equipping members of the host communities with appropriate work experience.
Job Purpose
The Internship Programme provides practical Work Learning and experience to individuals. The programme will run for a maximum period of 24 months.
First preference will be given to relevant applications from host communities.
Requirements
Provide the Academic record/transcripts/certificates and a letter from institution indicating a need for work experience in your studies.
Candidate will be expected to undergo a Medical Fitness Test and Assessments.
Available internship opportunities
Supply Chain Internship
The following are minimum entry requirements into the programme:
- Must be styding towards a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain/ Procurement/ Logistics Management or
- Must have graduated with an Honours Degree in Supply Chain/ Procurement/ Logistics Management
- Microsoft Office will be advantageous
Electrical Engineering Internship
The following are the minimum entry requirements into the programme:
- Must be Studying towards N6/ S4 / National Diploma or BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electronic or
- Must have graduated in National Diploma or BSc Degree in Electronic / Electronic

Mechanical Engineering Internship
The following are the minimum entry requirements into the programme:
- Must be Studying towards N6/ S4 / National Diploma or BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Electronic or
- Must have graduated in National Diploma or BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Electronic.
Occupational Risk Internship
The following are minimum entry requirements into the Occupational Hygiene programmes:
- Studying towards National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree Occupational Hygiene/ Environmental Health / Physiology and in need of P1/P2 or
- Have graduated in National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree Occupational Hygiene/ Environmental Health / Physiology and in need of work experience.
Social Worker Internship
The following are the minimum entry requirements into the programme:
- Masters in clinical or counselling psychology, registered with the Health Professions Council.
- A four-year Bachelor of Social Work Degree, registered with the Council of Social Services Profession.
Environmental Health Internship
The following are minimum entry requirements into the SHEQ, Occupational Hygiene, Governance, Assurance and Water Management programmes:
Health:
- Studying towards National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree Environmental Health and in need of P1/P2 or
- Have graduated in National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree Environmental Health and in need of work experience.
- Provide the Academic record and a letter from institution indicating a need for work experience in your studies
Environment:
- Studying towards National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree Environmental Sciences and in need of P1/P2 or
- Have graduated in National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree Environmental Sciences and in need of work experience.
- Provide the Academic record/transcripts/certificates and a letter from institution indicating a need for work experience in your studies.
Governance and Assurance:

Water Management:

Ventilation & Hygiene Internship
The following are the minimum entry requirements into the programme:
- Studying towards National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree in Occupational Hygiene/Health Sciences/Mining Engineering in need of P1/P2 or
- Have graduated in National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree in Occupational Hygiene/Health Sciences/Mining Engineering and in need of work experience.
Survey Internship
The following are the minimum entry requirements into the programme:
- Studying towards National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree in Mine Survey and in need of P1/P2 or
- Have graduated in National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree in Mine Survey and in need of work experience.
Geology Internship
The following are the minimum entry requirements into the programme:
- Studying towards National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree in Geology and in need of P1/P2 or
- Have graduated in National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree in Geology and in need of work experience.
Enterprise Supplier Development Internship
The following are the minimum entry requirements into the programme:
- Studying towards National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree in Business Management/ Supply Chain Management or related and in need of P1/P2 or
- Have graduated in National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree in Business Management/ Supply Chain Management or related and in need of work experience.
Learning (Human Resource Development) Internship
The following are the minimum entry requirements into the programme:
- Must be studying towards Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Development/ Training & Development Management/ OD ETDP or
- Must have graduated in Honours Degree in Psychology and HPCSA registration as a student psychometrist or must have graduated in Diploma or Degree in Human Resource/ Training & Development Management/ OD ETDP.
Industrial Engineering Internship
The following are the minimum entry requirements into the programme:
- Studying towards National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree in Industrial Engineering and in need of P1/P2 or
- Have graduated in National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree in Industrial Engineering and in need of work experience.
Mine Planning Internship

- Studying towards National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree in Mining Engineering and in need of P1/P2 or
- Have graduated in National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree in Mining Engineering and in need of work experience.
Mining Engineering Internship

- Studying towards S4, National Diploma or BSc Degree in Mining Engineering and in need of P1/P2 or
- Have graduated in National Diploma or BSc Degree in Mining Engineering and in need of work experience.
People & Organisation (Human Resource Management) Internship
The following are the minimum entry requirements into the programme:
- Must be studying towards Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management/ Business Administration/ Human Resource Development/ Labour Law/ Labour Relations/ Employment Relations or
- Must have graduated in Honours Degree in Psychology and HPCSA registration as a student psychometrist or must have graduated in Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management/ Business Administration/ Human Resource Development/ Labour Law/ Labour Relations/ Employment Relations.
Rock Engineering Internship
The following are the minimum entry requirements into the programme:
- Studying towards National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree in Mining Engineering and Geology and in need of P1/P2 or
- Have graduated in National Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/BTech/Honours Degree in Mining Engineering and Geology and in need of work experience.
