Job Position: Child and Youth Care Worker (Grade 1–3) – Job Type: Permanent (Rosenhof Special School, Bloemfontein)

Qualification:

Grade 12 certificate
Child and Youth Care Certificate or equivalent qualification

Experience:

Recommended: At least 3 years’ experience working with youth with severe emotional and behavioural challenges (advantageous)

Key Performance Areas

Provide developmental child and youth care services to learners with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties
Create enabling social conditions to support teaching and learning
Promote holistic learner development in need of care and protection
Conduct assessments using the Developmental Assessment Model
Design, review, and update Individual Developmental Plans (IDPs) for learners
Develop and implement tailored support programmes
Keep accurate daily observation notes, process records, and progress reports
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary educational team
